The Work Plan widget is your personal schedule in Mosaic. It shows every work plan that has been assigned to you - the projects, phases, hours, and time ranges - so you can see at a glance what is on your plate right now - and in the coming weeks.

See what you are scheduled to work on this week and next
Check how many hours per day you are planned for a project
Find out who created or last edited a work plan on your schedule
See if a work plan is tentative or dependent on a phase date
Enter your PTO, or planned time-off
Create a work plan (this is dependent on your Organization level permissions)
The Work Plan widget displays a two-week rolling timeline. Each work plan appears as a color-coded bar that matches its associated project.
At the bottom of each day column, you can see the total planned hours and percentage of capacity for that day.
Today's date is highlighted in orange
Past days have a gray background
Days with no capacity (e.g., company holidays) show a gray background with gray text

Reading work plan bars:
A lock icon on the bar indicates which value is the constant — hours per day, hours per week, percentage, or total hours. When dates change, the locked value stays the same.
Dashed / hash lines mean the plan is marked as tentative — it is not yet confirmed
A gridded line on the start or end edge of a bar means that edge is tied to a phase date dependency
A solid line on an edge means that end has no phase dependency

Scroll left or right along the timeline to move between weeks
Click the left or right arrows to step through dates
Click the date header to select a specific month from a calendar picker
Click Today to jump back to the current week

Hover over any work plan bar to see a quick summary: project name, phase, date range, and planned hours per day.

Click the bar to open the full work plan modal, which shows:
Project, phase, and work category
Hours and lock setting
Dependency indicators (start and end)
Description field
Tentative status
Comments thread (you can leave a comment here even if you cannot edit the plan)
Activity log showing who created and last edited the plan

If you have permission to create work plans, click the blue + icon that appears when you hover over a blank cell on any day.
To schedule work on a project, select the project, phase, hours, and date range
To log time off, select Time Off — it always appears as the first option in the project list
When Time Off is selected:
The All Day checkbox appears and is checked by default
Uncheck All Day and enter specific hours to log partial-day time off
Set the start and end dates and click Create

The selected members receive a notification with a summary of your work plans for that week.

Check this widget every morning — It is the fastest way to orient yourself before starting your day
Use the activity log to understand changes — If a work plan looks different than you expected, click into it and check the activity log to see who changed it and when
Leave a comment instead of messaging your PM — If a work plan needs to be adjusted, leave a comment directly in the work plan modal and @mention the person responsible. They will receive a notification.
Tentative plans are not confirmed — If you see a dashed bar, that work is not yet locked in. Check with your PM if you are unsure whether it is going ahead.
