  4. Expand the scope, you can add project members or open roles to the scope just like adding them to the phase.

Assign Scope

Once everything is set up, hours can be assigned to the members within the scope. The budget amount will be automatically calculated based on member rates and estimated hours. Additionally, the percentage of completion for each member can be entered.

Scope completed percentage

Scope completed percentage can be manually set and update as time goes.

  1. Click on the percentage field

  2. Select a pre-defined percentage or click custom and enter a percentage

  3. The completed percentage will update on the Member

  4. The total scope percentage is calculated by adding up the completion percentages for all members in the scope and then dividing that sum by the total number of members. This calculation provides an average completion percentage for the entire scope.

Can I use the scope estimate as my phase budget?

Yes! At the top, there is a Scope Estimate switch. When enabled, the scope's estimated hours and currency amounts for the members will be used as the budget on the Manage Time tab.

If the phase or work category includes multiple scopes, the budget amount will be the sum of all the scopes.
