Skills Report Overview

The Skills Report displays a heatmap of team members' skill proficiencies ranked 1-5, highlighting strengths and weaknesses.

This report considers members assigned to the selected Non-default Roles, regardless of their Default Role. Individuals with only a default role and no association with any selected Non-Default roles will not be included in this report.

Add or Edit Skills

Only Admins can add or edit Skills and this will be done on the Organization Settings > Member > Skills page. There are 2 ways to go to that page from Skills Report.

If permission to add or edit skills is not granted, the buttons will be disabled.

Case 1:

Click the three-dot on the report header. Click Add Skills or Edit Skills to go to Organization Settings > Member > Skills

Case 2:

Click the three-dot on a skill, then select Edit Standard Skills.

Selecting a Role

Use the dropdown menu in the top left corner to select a role and view the heatmap for that role.

Heatmap Basics

The heatmap shows members' proficiencies in various skills, ranked 1 (lowest) to 5 (highest).

Editing Proficiency/Goals

Click the middle of a heatmap cell to edit the proficiency of the member.

Click the top right corner to set a goal for a skill. If the skill goal has already been set, it will show on the right top.

Adding Members to a Role

Click "+Member" on the top of Skills Report.

Select the Member to add. To find the Member easier, you can search the Member by name.

A confirmation modal will show, click confirm.

Adding Skills to a Role

Click "+Skills" at the bottom of the chart.

Select the Skill you want to add. You can search the Skill by name.

Click Edit Standard Skills take you to the Organization Settings > Member > Skills page. Only Admins have access to this page.

A confirmation modal will show, click Add.

Removing Skills

To remove a skill from a role, click the three-dot on the skill, then select Remove Skill from Role.

A confirmation modal will show. Click Remove.

Pie Charts

  • Pie charts on the right side show overall proficiency rankings for each skill, while charts at the bottom show rankings by staff member.

  • Click Proficiency on the right to sort the skills by ascending or descending order

  • Click Proficiency & Goal at the bottom to sort staff member by ascending or descending order.

Sorting by Skills Name or Proficiency

  • Sort the heatmap by overall member proficiency, skill proficiency, specific member's skill levels, or specific roles' skill levels by clicking the relevant options.

  • Use the Skills Report to identify skill gaps, plan hiring, and target training for your team.

Filtering of the members and projects is completed for ALL REPORTS, and making it easy to  drill down on the data you need. In the coming months you will even be able to save multiple filter settings to access various filter settings instantly!
