Work plans in the Planner Space follow the same flow as the Workload Space, but the project is pre-selected because you are already viewing it. This makes the Planner the preferred space for project managers who want to plan time for their team on specific phases. Work plans created here appear in both the Planner and Workload spaces — they are the same data viewed from different perspectives.
Member rows — listed below each project, showing all current project members
Work plan bars — colored bars in each member's row showing their scheduled time on the project
Plus icon — appears when you hover over a blank cell in a member's row
Work plan modal — opens when you click the plus icon to create a new plan
Open a project in the Planner and expand the member list.
Click on a member's row to open blank cells.
Hover over a blank space and click the plus icon.
The project is already selected. Choose the phase (or sub phase) you want to plan time on.
Select how to schedule the time: percentage of day/week, hours per day/week, or total hours.
Enter the amount. The lock icon appears in the field you typed in — this is your constant. The plan will always calculate based on this locked value.
Set the start date and end date using the calendar. As you hover over dates, you can see the member's current capacity for each day.
Optionally add a description, mark it as tentative, or add scope/tasks (covered in later training).
Click Create to save the work plan.
