Rates can only be overridden at the Project level only if Member Rates are being used. Member Cost Rates cannot be overridden.
How to override the rates on a project?
In the Project space of a Project, click the Budget tab and then the Edit Budget button.
Locate the Member or Unassigned Role who's Rate needs to be modified by expanding Phases and Work Categories (if any).
Click on the Rate of the Member or Unassigned Role.
Click the Edit Rate item.
A list of Rates for that Member or Unassigned Role are shown. Add or edit Rates as appropriate.
For example, click the + Add Rate button.
Select a Standard Bill Rate that will override the default rate.
The updated Bill Rate is shown. Click the Done button.
The updated Rate also appears on the Budget Table if the Rate was effective today.
The new Rate will be applied to its effective dates and will affect all existing Time Entries. When entering Entries on the Timesheet for this Project, the overridden Rate is used.
